Here is a bit more about Tom in his own words.
1. When did you know you wanted to be a lawyer?
Being a lawyer is something that was always in the back of my mind. I made the decision to go to law school, my sophomore year of college.
2. Why do you continue to practice law? What do you enjoy about what you do?
I enjoy helping people solve their problems. I particularly like estate planning, because it is proactive problem solving before the problem occurs.
3. What is your favorite weekend activity?
I like to hike in the summer or ride my bicycle in the dry months. I paint and write as hobby.
4. What is one of your favorite places in Wyoming?
I love all of Wyoming. My special place is in the Bighorn Mountains.
5. What is one thing you wish clients knew about you/ or the law?
Lawyers spend their whole education learning how to solve people’s problems. They like to do it in a non-adversarial manner but sometimes disputes become so intractable that result to the courts is the only option.
6. If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?
A labrador retriever – friendly, loyal and lots of tail wagging. (Note from the rest of the team: Tom is one of the nicest, most humble people you will ever meet. A very, very, very smart lab indeed).
